The Method™ Dog Training

After years of obedience training and producing high-end bird dogs for upland hunting and guide services, I (Sonny) met Jordan Wells.  Our relationship started with me mentoring him, and now I find myself glued to his back pocket and listening to his every word.  He has been a major source to help keep me sharp and striving to be the absolute best dog trainer I can be.  Jordan is, ‘the definition of detail’.  You can’t find one more humble, forthcoming, and helpful.  There comes a time when the teacher does, indeed, become the student.  Through Jordan, I have gained a friend and partner.  Together, we’ve developed The Method™ training system.

The Next Evolution in Dog Training.

Our training system is based on the belief that communication and understanding are key to a successful relationship between dogs and humans. We believe that by paying close attention to the details of our dogs' behavior and using touch and body language as a means of communication, we can effectively build a partnership with them.

Our trainers act as translators, helping you to understand what your dog is trying to tell you through their actions and body language. By focusing on these principles, we can help you to put your dog in a problem-solving mindset, allowing them to learn and grow.

Central to our training system is the concept of "confidence through accomplishment." We believe that by providing dogs with opportunities to succeed and achieve, we can boost their confidence and strengthen their bond with their human companions. Through our unique approach, we aim to revolutionize the way dog training is conducted.

We believe that by emphasizing attention to detail, effective communication through touch, and building confidence through accomplishment, we can create a strong, ironclad relationship between humans and dogs.

At Hay Creek Kennel, we are no longer training dogs for an upland application.   We highly recommend J. Wells Kennels for all your Upland training needs.

“We took our two year old springer to Hay Creek for some basic obedience and she came back amazing. They take time to show you how to continue the training at home. The facility is super clean and nice as well as the people that work there!

“Our nine month old German Shepard is a very different dog since she’s been home this past month. She walks right next to my leg on a slack leash among many distractions on our neighborhood walks - other dogs, wheel chairs, golfers, joggers. Thanks Sonny! You rock the dog world.
